Economy

  • A basic travel class where, with a few golden exceptions, all airlines offer limited service at most.
  • Limited legroom and seat width.
  • On single aisle aircraft, usually 2-3 seats side by side on each side of the aisle.
  • For long-haul aircraft with two aisles, 9-10 seats per row.
  • So for European flights and domestic flights within the USA, Canada and South American countries, count on a water or soft drink and a small sandwich or cookie at most.
  • On long-haul flights between continents, as well as on flights within Asia, you can expect a richer service, often including hot food and alcoholic beverages.
  • The basic price usually includes no free checked baggage (unless you choose a Classic or Flexible package/fare).

Premium Economy

  • More legroom on single-aisle aircraft, same seat width as in Economy
  • For long-haul flights with two aisles, more legroom, wider seat than in Economy, which can also recline more. In most cases, expect 8 seats per row
  • For European flights and domestic flights within the US, Canada and South America, expect a range of hot, cold, soft and alcoholic drinks and food including dessert depending on the length of the flight.
  • For long-haul flights and flights within Asia, you can expect a snack menu of hot, cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and a choice of multiple main courses.
  • The base price usually includes at least one free checked bag (unless you choose a Light package/fare).

Business

  • On European or regional flights, expect more legroom, a wider seat than Economy, and usually 2 seats side by side on each side of the aisle (or a blocked middle seat).
  • On long-haul flights with two aisles, you'll find a wider seat than Premium Economy, which in most cases folds completely flat and offers its own aisle access.
  • Expect a menu of hot, cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on board with a choice of multiple main courses including varietal wines and champagne.
  • Complimentary access to airport Business Lounges before departure (and sometimes after arrival)
  • Two complimentary checked bags included in the base price in most cases (unless you choose the Light package/fare).

First

  • Only available on selected airlines and on selected long-haul flights.
  • Each passenger has their own cabin with direct aisle access, which can often be closed with a door for maximum privacy.
  • The seat can be reclined to a fully horizontal position and converted into a bed.
  • High quality bedding, pyjamas and a branded cosmetic bag.
  • Flexible refreshment concept where each customer decides when and what they want - traditionally a multi-course tasting menu, caviar service and a similarly extensive drinks menu including several champagnes and wines from the world's most famous cellars and vintages.
  • Free WiFi on board.
  • Complimentary access to airport First Lounges prior to departure.
  • Three free checked bags usually included in the basic price.
